Thinking long and hard on what say on this contribution. It wasn't till the accompanying link shown gave a different insight into the numerous verbal illustrations afforded by the hosted radio program.
Initially was to say: From the time of Noah (of the great flood) till the Reformation within the christian world, there was the Bible; the populated christian world before and after Christ's advent comprised of r's. Paralleling during the period was the Arab nomadic communities, 1000 yrs before the reformation became a nation with their book of instruction i.e. the Koran, these people also r's. Through the Dark Age to the Middle Age - approx. 1000 years, say from 500 CE - to the time of the Reformation. So, assuming from the dialogue a Godly select, those people brandished from a disunited Europe, found refugee from persecution in Central America. From this radio program you could have been excused to take from examples afforded, those who were to receive the principles and practices of the Enlightenment. People being prepared for what was to follow within a century or too : perhaps selectively, chosen by the Divine for neofrontal cortex development. These American pioneers gave rise to K types.
After going through www.anonymousconservative.com/blog/home-page/ questions in-numerous put the kibosh on the (above) "assuming" as developed.
However, this excerpt from within the opened link, no matter whether k's are protein or r's vegetarian consumers. Apparently history led this passage contributor to concludes:-

Apart from the intelligent's shown by the two, of one mind, presenting the r/K Theory program. Both claim K type endowment. They were educated at some stage (presumed infant or child) in England, later calling the US home. HOW SMART WERE THESE EDUCATORS!
