Forth Generation Warfare

A Clean Break

Takfirism

Present 1.

The only thing the lady presenter -- (now) called Claire -- didn't introduce into her
narrative; how in less than 100 years Arabs from the Middle-East who sought liberation from
Ottoman Turkey, assisted by armies from the West (Europe and New World).  Now number a
considerable menace to descendants of their former liberators.

Claire claims jihad is the means whereby shariah (law) and a caliphate will be imposed.
The way the most recent caliphate (Turkey) worked is well documented and understood.  Like
shariah this caliphate had some good (maybe not admirable) features.  But Claire said
acceptance of shariah disallowed "cherry picking" it's all or nothing proposition.  Jihad
as the "sixth pillar" of Islam -- there are 5 pillars ( basic principles) -- ceases with
capitulation of opposition.  [Ed. Sheikh Taj-El-Din Hamid Hilaly, once Grand mufti Lakemba
Mosque, Australia, said, " Islam is intolerant of all other religions"].

If strife in the Middle-East is over oil and water, and we've been assured it's the case.
Using this as a metaphor, what international cabala has prevailed on NGO's to get them to
believe the two can mix?!?!  Claire doesn't directly appropriate a identity who's behind
the mischief; nor does she directly attribute the "wriggle opportunity" afforded Pres. B.
Obama by Al Quaeda's Ayman al Zawahiri, respectively 50 minutes apart in the doco.;  a
message to the President from the latter and a public address by the former.

All in all, the excepts from learned writings e.g. Qur'an,  Hadith ... etc., photos, maps
and emblematic representations made the doco. one of the outstanding club presents.
Significant time was given to a comparison of America's Constitution and what follows, as
against chosen extracts from the Qur'an as it's to be practiced within Shariah
jurisdiction.

I'm sure Don's advice to members inferred, or would have been to effect a saving of the
doco. to disk or memory devise.  When you (we) should realise we've been overtaken by new's
distraction, e.g. currently Ebola, play the doco. if nothing more relevant on the subject
is to ... Available!

Believing the Clare presentation has been edited, there may have been a suggested directive
to the threat i.e. What you can do.  As she is a American citizen and undoubtedly entitled
to the protections granted by the Constitution particularly its 2nd amendment.  However,
Don has done diligence (listen to the following).  Take what he says as comments of a
realist and pragmatist with vision.  Advise parliamentarians and governments to act: Lest ye
be slain by those who are passive invaders and also hold dear the code of Jihad.

Present 2.

A report on life in the Syrian city of Raqqa, made possible with a media production company
assisted by the IS media officer.  Noted, this making of this doco. had other than Middle-
East participation as the credits showed.

At the time of the doco's development IS (ISIL) tentacles stretched far into Iraq, though
the city had a Syrian army garrison.  Through the lenses of cameras a viewer of the present
was taken through the city accompanying the Shariah enforcement police, to a mosque,
indoctrination assembly and a court building where shariah was the only institution.  A
reminder from present 1. why there were insurrections throughout this part of the World:
attacks on regimes not practicing Islamic law.

Apparently (male) people seen were largely representative of the political opposition party
that was in existence prior to the uprising against Basha al-Assad's regime. None whether
armed or not wore face covering.  So do we take from what Don said during his introduction,
hostages murdered by tall disguised knife holders dressed in black(sic), ( seen in still
and streamed uploads ...) a enforcement group within the IS (ISIL) movement.  Those people
in black are they the Takfirists(?)

Introduction

Tape Intro. John, Victor et al. 08/14

After the formal introduction Madam Lagarde begins by stating, at the time she was speaking, a calendar year was ending and a lunar year was soon too also.  Then to relate the number seven (7) to its numerology ... and 7 years had elapsed since the GFC.  Other interesting facts she enumerates by tinkering with the numerator 2014 and denominator 7.  Surmises 7 lean years and thereafter 7 (economical) fertile, but with qualification as to global prosperity and wealth-income distribution.  [Edit. Madam Lagarde would have been aware when addressing the press of the 8th biblical tetrad since 1AD.]

Using seven her talk divides thus:-

1.  The World
2.  America
3.  The Euro. zone
4.  Japan
5.  Asia: Myanmar, Korea and Cambodia
6.  Mali and Kenya
7.  Arab countries, Middle-East specifically

There are the advanced economies and emerging ones (from the above), each with similar or divergent concerns and she deals with each.  Towards the end of her speech in proper (and before Q and Ans. time), as managing director of the IMF states that since the GFC:
-  154 assisted loans to members.
-  90% of members technically(?) assisted.
-  Membership of the fund totals 188

Though the questioning was hard to follow, Madam Lagarde's answers helped with the following abbreviated:

1.   a)   IMF and US work for future stability;  b) IMF and US govt.: co-operation not forced  cohesion.
2.   IMF 2010 a years when governance reform(s) enacted
3.   IMF help extended to Euro. countries and others (2nd World) incl. Pakistan
4.   IMF and American Congress: support for developing countries
5.   "Tapering" down of assistance and consequence, particularly for emerging economies.
6.   Government's FRB (Fed.) premature exit from post GFC correction
7.   IMF's first woman M.D. attitude to lady chairperson FRB and its significance
8.   Her attitude to women in top jobs e.g.s provided, incl. GM CEO Kenya (a woman)
9.   Asked about women in Japan, Saudi Arabia and the US gets a mention
10. IMF past economic events are they relevant, she said forecasts based on model developed assisted by             188 IMF desks around the World.
11. "Currency wars" she said after 3 years were a non-event.
12. Could there be more than on reserve currency, yes with a qualification
13. Banking stability since GFC, subject to cross boarder resolution and derivatives remain a concern.
14. Derivatives still a problem for the US
15. Inflation as related to Japan cf. euro. area
16. US Congress and observance of fiscal, economic principle pertaining to budget
17. Stock markets and monetary policy
18. Viability of the euro. v's US$
19. Europe and deflation
20. Japan "add-in-economics", she said more to be done
21. IMF's Article 1. its implementation as remedying inequality

From the impersonal to the personal before the conclusion of this national press recording
Q:  Madam Lagarde's French political aspiration.

Present 1.

Undoubtedly Don (who arranges the evenings presents) was fully aware, when juxtaposing this with the second part from what he showed members 05/14.  The significance of  this 10 minute American Meet the Press panel Q. and A. was to promote the philosophy of  a business personality (with a regular online show) -- Don introduces from time to time.  The inability of two eminent economists to answer questions, that was, to the satisfaction of the "business personality" was the issue.  However as one of the two explained the tools they (as economists) rely upon are not necessarily entrenched preferred positions.  So, the relevance of this present to what follows (Second part from 05/14 blog), has to be taken as judgement:  Big economic issues, demand big government intervention, not so said the "business personality" (?!?!)

 Edit. 712_0087 07/14

Present 2.

Second Part:  The American housing boom 1996 to 2006, house price rises, mortgage debt led to banks increasing their debt levels (leverage) this allowed by regulator FRB -- the era of "sub-prime lending" -- termed a "gigantic ponzi scheme" by one commentator and while this was taking place (a economic "bubble") the SEC didn't intervene i.e. "did nothing" to derivative markets. Told of a big insurance Co. AIG creating CDO's "credit default obligations" and how CDO's were to work, that's by investor insurers (and others) taking out insurance, hedging against CDO's going bad.  These "obligations" apparently commutable and known as "swaps"*.  The term "credit default swaps" appeared in an address of an independent economist prior to the GFC, his paper " Has Financial Development Made the World Riskier?" (R G Rajan)  The essence "more debt more risk" contrary to then prevailing
establishment position "less regulation less risk".
The doco. gives over to addressing characteristics of Wall Street (America) career people and how the booty was dived up and spent as a result of derivative and sub-prime mortgage trading.
A leader in the financial "tragedy" Goldman Sach, we learn of the deals involving AIG and swaps and selling CDO's to unsuspected (mainly superannuation funds) this brought to attention of the general public in 2010 Congress Committee hearing.
The final serve in this part of the doco. was on the rating agencies -- those cited daily in the media -- who apparently are paid by those listed (corporate) clients, (allegedly) positioned according to how highly regarded their solvency and viability, based on "opinion" of rating agency-agencies. [Ed. This is not pure science!]

Guess the thinking was at the conclusion of this part (of 2 of 4), the grand scam (its creator/creators) may be set-up one or more integral participants as collapsible(s). That what went around (US$) would again come around (US$), incredibly believing no one would be badly hurt.  [Ed. Was it going to be AIG ...?]

The doco. indicated there was "hurt" and investors (super. funds) are carrying on through the courts.

* A kind of derivative a development of AIG.

Moving on to the next part, told of the soothsayers (economic controllers) lost contact with the unfolding reality from 2004 to 2008. A suggestion evident people in high places in government were complicit in the GFC innovative fiasco.  During the "crises" period, numerous warnings from diverse sources, regardless ended with large scale mortgage defaults and a drying-up of loans: "Investment banks left with 100's of billion dollars of loans, CDO's and real estate they couldn't sell".  By 2008/9 the evidence was then, investment banks were in various degree of financial difficulty, though leading market rating agencies were not letting on ...  Regulators and critics then interviewed and asked as to why a implausible situation had been arrived at; eventuating in "cannibalization" of the least financially viable by competing financial houses ad-finitum (significant take-overs the narrative cited, incl. the governments move on the two F.M. institutions).
The doco. next turns attention to Lehman Bros., the Barclay Bank and Lehman's London office.   The consequence apparently caused further "drying-up" of liquidity on the other side of the Atlantic.  At the same time AIG (American International Group) subject to a US$13 billion default.  The secretary to treasury, Henry Paulson acts (critics consider belatedly) by getting the George W. Bush administration to "bail out" investment banks.  The treasury, particularly its secretary gets a "serve" from the doco's initiators.

AIG link.
Expansion to credit default insurance market

A global recession 2008/9 had begun and spreads into Asia, touched leading US industrial's named ... Unemployment is the consequence and tent cities result in America.  [Ed. As mentioned, did 15 million mortgage defaults eventuate?]

Present 1.

First Part: Student education debt, a problem tax payers share with other developed countries.  Because of  an over supply of graduates the job market now offers lower pay.  Lower interest rates coupled to inflation (higher consumer good prices) accordingly serves the banks well.Told of the collapse of "triple A rated" investments.  Bond issues by governments in various jurisdictions provide tax advantages to holders.  However a down side to excessive bond promotion caused a Caribbean island to become heavily indebted, to the extent of economic collapse.A drug Zohydro (hydrocodone) has been questioned as to efficacy.  Beware youth ... said the commentator, psychedelics caused the "Mi Lie" massacre in Vietnam ...

Second part: A investment analyst questioned about China, Europe and Russia in respect of gold -- both China and Russia big buyers -- and should be better placed if/when the "bubble bursts", economic crises results by degree.  Brought on by excessive consumption, countries highly leveraged without gold reserve suffer by degree.  Within the euro. block legislation enacted, a contingency for "Bail Ins".The interviewed elaborates on why price of the same commodities differ in geographically separated locations.  Asked about real estate (land and buildings), considered ranked with bonds and paper money as a asset class; though tangible like most commodities, the economic circumstance -- where the Q and Ans. took place -- prompted considered re-positioning.

Present 2.

Members etc. present, undoubtedly given better insight into the financial and cultural destruction of a North Atlantic island, caused by economic adaption imported from without. Attention then to America, New York and Wall Street. Numerous approaches made to people for comment, many internationally known names associated with finance and government. Others not implicated in what is termed the GFC debacle, but positioned to express criticism of administrations during the presidencies of Messrs. Reagan, Clinton and later Mr. Bush.
A history of money lending institutions from years prior to WW11 the beginning of the 21st century.  The latter end of this period Investment and Loan Co's tendered for the general public funding, like never before.  As enterprise in common, exponentially grew both in capital and human resource, so did embezzlement, one grand scale case cited.  In America people in high places moved between finance institutions and government positions from the mid 80's to the late 90's.  Three named (but not herein cited) protagonists given special attention during this part of the documentary, promoted previous dubious trends, as one invited commentator said " ... a capturing of the political system".

So from embezzlement next the documentary cites money laundering and financial deals apparently contrary to US law.  American (- international) corporations ( with global representation ) have paid large amount of dollars(sic) for infringements, but according to narration, they (corporations involved) refuse to admit culpability.

Before conclusion of this part to the doco. -

  •   Derivatives, the marketing of them escape government intervention.
  •   Followed by the introduction during the first years of the 21st century of CDO's.  The vehicle whereby  derivatives, loans and later sub-prime loans/mortgages were packaged and on-sold; Edit. Quite an elaborate(?!?!) construct, as pedagogue illustrated to screen.

Introduction.

Carelessness in recording the the secretary's opening to the meeting and the material
introduced, meant the lead-in was Don's reading of a excerpt from " The Three Colonies of Australia ".
As recalled (two months later at time of blog preparation), the introduction would have included expressed condemnation of  public figures, now in retreat from public scrutiny, thankfully these utterances didn't  record as they probably were defamatory.

Reference to "The Three Colonies of Australia" there no surprise the culture of this country (Australia)
developed along traditional lines, that some academic or academics coined the phrase "Cultural Cringe".  [Ed. see last month]

"Palomar", Bank West et al. relationship with receivers, West Australian Government and
Federal Government assistance (lack thereof), "Fly In " corporate farmers AND mental health
care.  The farmer of "Palomar" predominated during the present, intended as representative of a
class of farmers in that State.  He and predecessors developed a holding worth Au$5
Million, at the time of receivership his equity was 30%*.  The question arises how big has
a holding got to be to get recognition as a "Fly In" corporate?!?! Another fact, a
dwindling number of farm operators in the State, at the time earlier this year carry a
total financial indebtedness of Au$14 Billion. A parliamentary spokesperson stressed
adjustment: when cost of farm production is not matched by returns, thereby to maintain
solvency (per. those rural interviewed).  De-population of rural towns, farming is a
commercial activity traditionally dependent on loaned money from year to year.  To reduce
cost the latter resulting, "Fly In" farmers when wanted at seeding and harvest replacing
permanent rural based workers.

* The farmer apparently shares a common knowledge, at least with people who have had
contact with that aspect of accounting i.e. the wind-up business Receiver. He stated his
30% equity would be lost to the wind-up process.

From ABN 2 another aspect of an imbalance -- but one in process of inquiry -- that of child
minding.  Competing ways of addressing a increasing problem to the community.  The current
government payments, at least for working parents and those staying home seem generous. But
apparently, at about $75 a day minimum, Not So!  [Ed.What was payed 10 years ago to child
minding centres has increased 150%].  The program dealt with the demand side of the issue,
little was said about the supply cost, i.e. of minding centres.  It was suggested "the well
off" monetarily should be allowed 30%(sic) -- maybe why Don made this selection?!?! -- tax
offset, whereas less fortunate up-to 90%, this for a nanny carer.  Maybe the job of carers
in whatever capacity needs looking into, as costs seem the bugbear of this human resource
preparation activity.  [ ED. What was not mentioned during this report. the duel payment
systems in place -- media article 25/06.14].  We were told the Productivity Commission(?) should report to government later this year.  [ED. The day of typing this a news item radio station 2GB, reported some
care workers get about $3.50 take home pay after tax and deductions. If that's the case
there's a lot of hooch in this system assumed accounting for ... ].

The next two selections were interviews intended to be linked.  A former Foreign Affairs
Minister in the previous government and the chairman Australian Israel and Jewish Affairs
Council in reply.  The former critical of the latter's preponderant lobbying influence with
the government.  In the lengthy biography of this minister"s time in office, he noticed
outcomes favorable to Israel on issues of "settlement" (Israel's land occupations) and the
thwart of Palestinian recognition as a country.  The chairman of the lobby group
representing Israeli interests was in denial, as to influence; this you can guess
expected.

Present 3.

A corollary to the February's offering and the Chinese city of Wuhan.  The viewing,
originally a television documentary -- believed not seen before by club members.  China cam e out of the Mao, red guard era after the chairman's death, the year mentioned 1980. From
1980 to 2008 when the GFC struck China was a creditor nation regarding Balance of Trade.
With the onset of the GFC the World has been doing less business with China. China then
turned from export trade to infrastructure and residential development.  The Chinese
people save much more of their income than Westerners so we were told. This lack of consumer
propensity was criticized, due to the debt carrying of the nation, trillion of dollars owed
to banks throughout the World.  The physical growth over the last 5 years of infrastructure
and buildings was compared to America, a country that took 100 years to achieve a
comparable book value.  [Ed. Why America(?), Japan's growth took 100 years to reach a
economic sustainable position].  So if there is a plan in place for China, its people, to
avoid a slide of GFC proportion, this program attempted but failed to discover from those
interviewed.  [Ed. Only thing known in these parts, China has fists full of US$ to spend in
the Southern Hemisphere between Longitude 40 degree East of Greenwich to 80 degree West
of Greenwich].

Expectation for a contribution to materialise, dispensing with the February blog on China's
residential oversupply still holds.

People from Thailand or Taiwan enter Australia on holiday work permits, organised by employment agencies.  The workers it was claimed avoid payment of tax and are lowly paid, further claim of harassment from an interviewer on behalf of worker in food processing.  Whether from the above countries or China, Japan and Korea Australian workers are displaced.  Enterprises using these agencies should (according to a interviewed) employ directly; thereby, labour union can mediate for a better deal for locals and imported earners alike. Another Report with a similar theme regarding employment, this time from America post GFC.  The explicit suggestion is that qualified people working is states with sea boarders need additional work.  The work means a second job to survive independent of welfare.  Or, a job that pays well, such as in occupation service, but with reference to employment in Australia where base rates and taxation are far less punitive.  Apparently unlike here, local government in the US can determine standards of pay.  The example of one mayor having to deal with encroaching poverty concerns, he vetoed a increase of the minimum rate for his jurisdiction.  The joint once was the home of internationally industrial names has become a employment recycling haven particularly for, and waste of builds and their constructional materials.  Whether it be the East or West of the United States examples of people and families (black and white) in economic hardship, and the cost of medical cover prohibitive for many.  The Visual-audio report ended with the pessimistic conclusion "... hard work is a myth" as the means to betterment.

Follows the wanderings of Herman Wainggai  (from West Papua) an as a "advocate the West Papua issue to the international community and Australian Government".  He sought refuge along with others in Northern Australia, relocated to Melbourne before finding his way to Papua (New Guinea) to liaise with his people fleeing West Papua via Jayapura to Wewak (Papua).  Apparently suppressed by dissimilar people (Indonesians) the indigent people up-rise from time to time -- media film inserts bear this out -- only to be cracked-down upon by Indonesian military and police. An educated female from Papua asserts that pregnant natives have fetus's killed by injection ... " According to Yale University study since Indonesia occupied West Papua in 1963 there has been 400,000 unnatural deaths in the province". [Closing Credits]

The present a departure from the preceding dealing with work remuneration.  Second guessing why Don introduced a subject dealing with near neighbours to the North, since it didn't occur to club members assembled -- the pity, with more attendees what follows may be not necessary.  It was common knowledge in 1963 the American President was instrumental in ceding West Papua to Indonesia.  So then and since, how have (our) governments reacted(?)  The imperative seems to do everything other than the logical and natural.  Approach to a pending dilemma not from the position "the cost of living is a little sacrifice" [considering the Marty Bryant* fiasco i.e., undoubted spiritual and (associated) temporal provocation was then in play -- called Zionism**] .   So what have our governments done: encouraged multi-culture, made it possible to sell the joint of to foreigners, payed off Northern neighbours and gone further geographically to cadger commercial and military favour of a totalitarian regime now days flexing sea borne "muscle".  Peoples racially different to the majority of Australians including indigenous, and this has been the chosen line taken by politicians to make this country inviting for occupation -- the Indonesian military maps name North Australia as South Irian Jaya.  You would think now days -- as correct thinkers past converged -- on the notion of an armed citizenry as the means supplementary to homeland defense.  Alas, the sentiment lost or arrogation by successive governments means the soldier-farmer and the armed national patriot has no place in the intentions of the "priestly class" (after Don earlier).  Yet like minded, people of the same genealogy ( claiming Citizen status cf. with Subject of ... )  have not lost a powerful sense to survive, and protect the land give by (Divine) providence.

The resolution of the New Guinea issue by that American President was questioned here at the time.  Should it have been taken as a clarion call, the rumbling of "toof" "toof" as it passes in the inside lane of a carriage way if available for occupation -- that's invariably where you will hear the rumblings coming from (?)   Something lost as "Subject" people in determining beneficial outcomes.  Back then nearly twenty years since WW11 opportunity foregone.  Changes having taken place in the North ( Irian Jaya etc.), apparently means liberalizing weaponry ownership in civilian hands becomes tantamount to a hostile act.  At least that's the way our politicians would have us believe they would react (to the North)?!?!

Edward Snowden on the American government and its agency the NSA.  His contention is "What maybe lawful may not be rightful" (this towards the end of the interview.  Not only does the NSA collect data on its (American) citizens(?)  It also spies on citizens(?) and subject(!) people of what is termed the "5Is", two mentioned of the five countries; UK and Germany.  Interestingly the presenter repearedly returned to what E. S. knew about independent contracting agencies (i.e. non-government) participating in "counter-esponarge".  Broardly the questioning of E. S. was two thirds his current predicament regarding President Obama and the FJD's three inditments (?!?!)  AND one third of the time on his personal life -- commentry impression the following:-

Present 3.

NSA director General, General Alexander questioned on NSA (aka Cyber Control) and his job. He controls 6000 personnel in 15,000 operational centres. He recites a incident that introduced changes in the role NSA played, turning it into an organisation that looked inward (US citizens subject to scrutiny due to foreign dealing/dealings). He identifies cyber attacks against commercial and financial institutions. These offenses led to what the general refers to as the "meta" system -- explained as fully as deemed necessary. The term used to counter espionage is "prism" -- explained as fully as deemed necessary. So both programs aimed at "... terrorism" said the general. Questioned is it the NSA's duty to "protect (American) people's Rights?" The answer was as expected. There was no qualification or follow-up on privacy and civil liberty. In fact the general condemned media interference and mendacity when it came to a right for the public to know ( cf. E. S. the publics right ...). He refers to this "leaker" not in the plural?!?!  Then in answer (taken) as the final relevant question " ... Americans to understand about the role and the mission of the NSA ...?"   Ans. The ramifications of terrorism in all forms(sic), dutifully dealt with by the NSA, is a credit to the operatives etc.
However, be aware, travelling with a phone that's on the NSA watch list ("hit list"), once that phone and its possessor lands on American shore, less benign authority (than NSA) becomes the reckoning agency you might in time find unwelcome.  The general was more forthright on this aspect of the regulation(?) ... just one of many.
