Edited tape Intro. Don et al. 02/14

Apology for the sound quality as my Chine's made cassette converter gave up after perhaps 12 hours of use. Admittedly over many months of random use. Like air mattresses from the same country ...  The sound recorded from speaker to microphone direct, with much editing following.

Present 1.

China its building over supply.  This introduced by Don but goes beyond nonsense, even for those practicing this ideology ( command economics synonymous with communism).  This to be allow was (i.e. shown in the presented) superficially a government blunder of enormous proportion.  A person who has lived at an earlier time, due to that person's occupation in a foreign Chinese community and currently follows international as well as national affairs .  Asked how could this come about (" ... building over supply") his response prompted me to request a written explanation, which will be different to what was "presented".  It will be posted here and linked-in later when available.

Present 2.

Edward Snowden on the American government and its agency the NSA.  His contention is "What maybe lawful may not be rightful" (this towards the end of the interview.  Not only does the NSA collect data on its (American) citizens(?)  It also spies on citizens(?) and subject(!) people of what is termed the "5Is", two mentioned of the five countries; UK and Germany.  Interestingly the presenter repearedly returned to what E. S. knew about independent contracting agencies (i.e. non-government) participating in "counter-esponarge".  Broardly the questioning of E. S. was two thirds his current predicament regarding President Obama and the FJD's three inditments (?!?!)  AND one third of the time on his personal life -- commentry impression the following:-

Present 3.

NSA director General, General Alexander questioned on NSA (aka Cyber Control) and his job. He controls 6000 personnel in 15,000 operational centres. He recites a incident that introduced changes in the role NSA played, turning it into an organisation that looked inward (US citizens subject to scrutiny due to foreign dealing/dealings). He identifies cyber attacks against commercial and financial institutions. These offenses led to what the general refers to as the "meta" system -- explained as fully as deemed necessary. The term used to counter espionage is "prism" -- explained as fully as deemed necessary. So both programs aimed at "... terrorism" said the general. Questioned is it the NSA's duty to "protect (American) people's Rights?" The answer was as expected. There was no qualification or follow-up on privacy and civil liberty. In fact the general condemned media interference and mendacity when it came to a right for the public to know ( cf. E. S. the publics right ...). He refers to this "leaker" not in the plural?!?!  Then in answer (taken) as the final relevant question " ... Americans to understand about the role and the mission of the NSA ...?"   Ans. The ramifications of terrorism in all forms(sic), dutifully dealt with by the NSA, is a credit to the operatives etc.
However, be aware, travelling with a phone that's on the NSA watch list ("hit list"), once that phone and its possessor lands on American shore, less benign authority (than NSA) becomes the reckoning agency you might in time find unwelcome.  The general was more forthright on this aspect of the regulation(?) ... just one of many.
