August 11th 2011 Pastor Terry Jones

Lacking numbers of members and supporters it was decided by the few attending to view a shorter presentation prepared by the club's secretary.

The Social Dynamic screening intended for August to be shown later.

An address recorded on the steps of Michigan's Dearborn Council building with Pastor Terry Jones was the substitute video presentation with other related audio/visuals.

Pastor T. Jones, text following from a cassette recording. Since the original sound track recorded from the loud speakers the cassette reproduction slightly degraded --

Essential context provided:-

1. "Fight with what you don't agree with" this in reference to free speech and a right granted by the 1st amendment U.S. Constitution.

2. Pastor Jones is addressing a significant crowd of Muslims gathered across the street to protest at the appearance of Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones insisted that it's not for them to dictate values but to provide "information" for discernment.

3. Apparently Pastor Jones gave CNN broadcasters an interview which has not been put to air, he asserts that this is a denial of free speech and an act of media et al. censoring, he wants this interview put to air for " ... the people to decide".

4. The pastor then virtually condemns the crowd of protesters across the street from the Town Hall steps where Dr. Jones was addressing a gathering of interested spectators - as hypocrites for claiming (as here) that their religion is a " religion of peace" -- admittedly what he was confronting was rowdy group of protestors.

5. What prompted him at this point to ask the gathered to petition gov. for a redress of grievances is unclear [Edit. D. Brooke (sec.) ... something happened on the other side of the street.]

6. The pastor having criticised Islam for unruly conduct and he reminds those present of the right to freedom to keep and bear arms, the means whereby to maintain security of the State.

7. Addressing the ethnic mix before him, he warns (warning No. 1) illegal immigrants to address there illegal status [Edit. presumably no standing under 1st amendment regarding 6. above].

8. His remarks are then directed to Islamists to compare toleration of religion as practiced in America to intolerance practiced throughout the Muslim world. Pastor Jones infers Allah is not a god (mean. Does not exist?) but they can worship Allah in Mosques built with Saudi Arabia money.

9. They (Islamist s) must uphold the constitution of the U.S. by honour and obeying. (Warning No. 2.) " ... not to mess with America".

10. The generosity of "... the red, white and blue" undoubtedly alluding to foreign aid and two reminders: (i) Muslim nations don't contribute, and (ii) So don't think Sharia will be introduced in America.

11. Pastor Jones closed with a harangue [Edit. Preconception shared by those at the club presentation, the office of President is revered by citizens, now challenged since the viewing]. According to what we heard from the pastor it was going to be full-on "Stop Obama"; apart from a personal attack on B.Obama, there was(sic) his statement attributed to Pres. Obama in Egypt; "Islam has always been part of the American story". Definitely Not! According to the good pastor who reiterated the afore quote.

The meeting then viewed a commentary video by David Wood - Mr. Wood appears to host or maintain a website called, 'answeringmuslims.com'.

This video was divided into three parts:-

Part 1. (Introduction by David Wood) -- Edit. was this the CNN interviewer? -- debated Pastor Jones a year earlier on the subject of the burning of Koran, he (Mr. Wood) says "a low form of criticism".

He refers to the "murder veto" the "homicidal maniacs veto" means to an end i.e., to silence criticism.

He then said there is a third way criticism can be stifled, by abuse of rules and misuse of authority. From this (Mr. Wood) led us to Part 2.

We are challenged to find inconsistency in the footage to follow: The hecklers and others gathered constituting the standing audience, caught on camera with accompanying noise being generated, drown-out what was coming from the loud speakers on the municipal steps.

Part 3. (Mr. Wood) and the "inconsistency" from the footage. The claim is that both Pastor Jones and the Islamist s are guilty of incitement but maybe from different perspectives -- Edit. the case for or against this sophism not to be dealt with herein. The clip closes with a puppet show where one represents pastor Jones the other a Muslim cleric with puppet Jones reading selected ayats(?) the cleric annoyed and attempting to gesticulate -- Punch and Judy without rolling pin.

This presentation ended with a video clip of journalists confronting (or being confronted) by John B. O'Rielly the Mayor of Dearborn.

Pastor Jones back on the steps of the Dearborn Town Hall. He briefly criticises B. Obama again in relation to the "story" remark the president made (see above). He quotes from words of Thomas Jefferson that the people (erstwhile electors) have two enemies, they are government and criminals, he goes on to say "These enemies are your enemies" he repeats these words, "These enemies are my enemies".

He then demands of the president that the constitution of U.S. be changed to stop Sharia from becoming the law within the host nation. The Koran does not recognise human and civil rights, a book written he says 1400 years earlier. During that 1400 yrs. Islam has killed "thousand and million people".

Further to this Coptic Christians who hadn't "burned the Koran", hadn't interfered with nor "criticised Islam" a year or two earlier were massacred when leaving "Church". Now America is confronted with threat because of Sharia, the Koran and radical Muslims.

Next can be divided into three parts, the pastor then has a message for Western leaders to:

(i) To "develop a back-bone" and insist the Muslim nations adapt human rights, civil liberties, freedom of speech, and religion.

(ii) Minorities henceforth not to be killed and massacred in Islamic countries.

(iii) Islamic countries to be brought out of the middle ages and become civilised.

More quoting Thomas Jefferson, "... I propose (as between competing choices) ... as we go forward (edit. as a people with mutual interests) we can be killed but NOT stopped".

Also, quotes the pastor from T. Jefferson, "I propose dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery".

Pastor Jones moves away from the microphone and pastor Wayne Sapp takes over the address.

Hereafter abbreviation of what he had to say. A rhetorical question from pastor Sapp "What does America(sic) want", he asks for introspection of the people, he doesn't like what America has become. He thanks the gathered -- Edit. all the gathered?!?! -- for attending, he refers to the Bible, "It's the sick that need a doctor not the well".

That God brought them there so "The truth will set them free". I believe the pastor here infers, T. Jefferson lives on by what he said two hundred years back in time. And the question of government fearing its citizens, or if its citizens are more fearful of government(?) But further to this he infers a government of Islamic ideologists would bring "tyranny to victory" he reiterates "... tyranny has found victory".

Apparently due to Islamic presence in Dearborn its Council functions on principles of Sharia. It seems from what the pastor says, laws are in place to persecute non-believers and promote Islamic beliefs.

Comprehension from looking and listening to pastor Sapp in the comfort afforded by RSL Burwood, towards the end of his "serve", he and others were gaoled a week or so earlier.

With-out police charge, truly consistant with claims made by fearful non-Muslim residence, inviting the pastors to come and speak in this Michigan city.

Pastor Sapp concludes -- understood to be his 2nd speech at Dearborn Town Hall -- with encouragement, the good and improved folk should take action, reversing Islamic tyranny at least in Dearborn.
